Grandpa Robert… I hold dear to my heart your joyful smile and strong commitment to the family. The memories of your love, support and words of advice followed by a sense of humor…”not to take life so serious but to handle it to the best of your ability as it comes” will forever be with us. My regret is that I was not able to tell you what a beautiful person you are and how I truly appreciated the unconditional love and guidance you gave to my Erika and Robert. My inner peace is to know that you and Guy are together in a better place. You will forever be in our hearts and the memories will bring us solace.

Here are a few quotes & a note…….

Life is eternal, and love is immortal,
and death is only a horizon;
and a horizon is nothing save the limit of our sight.

The angels are always near to those who are grieving; to whisper to them that they’re loved ones are safe in the hand of God. ~

Unable are the loved to die. For love is immortality. ~Emily Dickinson

Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy. ~Author Unknown

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal. ~From a headstone in Ireland

Courage is being afraid but going on anyhow. ~Dan Rather

There are things that we don't want to happen but have to accept, things we don't want to know but have to learn, and people we can't live without but have to let go. ~Author Unknown

When love is lost, do not bow your head in sadness; instead keep your head up high and gaze into heaven for that is where your broken heart has been sent to heal. ~Author Unknown

As soon as forever is through, I'll be over you. If I had a single flower for every time I think about you, I could walk forever in my garden. ~Claudia Ghandi

I dropped a tear in the ocean. The day you find it is the day I will stop missing you. ~Author Unknown

Dearest Pat & all the girls & to the rest of the family:

My Thoughts & prayers are with you & all your family. This has been a tragic year you’ve been though so much. But you’ve got support of so many who love you all soooo much. Theirs nothing that can replace such huge losses in your life, but as long as your family & friends surround you with love & happy memories they’ll forever live in our hearts. Thinking of you, Your Friend~ Tiffany Rasberry

Pat & Family,

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May all of your fond memories of him as a husband, dad, grandfather, best friend and great man comfort you in the days ahead. We all are heartbroken when we lose the one's we love the most and ask our heavenly father why? Although we might understand why this had to happen, our heavenly father has a better plan for him now and never gives us more than we can handle. Robert has left us visually but not completely. Just when you think you have lost him for good he will remind you that you truely misunderstood you could never lose him for good. He will always let it be known he is still with each of us every day in his own special way.

All my love goes out to each of you and will pray that you receive the comfort that you need in the days to come.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
