William G. Crecelius

November 11, 1954 - May 25, 2009

Bill Crecelius passed peacefully at home surrounded in love by his beloved wife, Betty, dear sister, brother-in-law, sister-in-law and several close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chris and Doris Crecelius and is survived by his wife, Betty Crecelius, sister, Laurie Filice (Richard), brother, Jim Crecelius (Carol), and step daughters, Melissa Simonds and Missy Williams. He also leaves behind his nieces, Holly Bender (Alex) and Ginny Miller (Hans) and their 5 children who were dear to his heart.

Bill graduated from Lincoln High School in 1972 and attended Delta College. He spent his working years in agriculture and construction. He could build or fix anything and always had a project (or 10) in progress. Bill also loved flying, fishing and spending time on the family ranch in Montana. During this past year Bill became quite the "foodie". His favorite past time was spent watching the Food Network especially Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. The family wishes to thank the many friends and neighbors who did so much to help during the past year. We are blessed to have you all in our lives.

A Celebration of Life service will be held June 13th at 1:00 p.m. at Lincoln Presbyterian Church at 900 W. Douglas Road, Stockton, CA. The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made to Stanford Cancer Center, GI Cancer program at Office of Medical Development, 2700 Sandhill Rd., Menlo Park, CA 94025. Arrangements are by the Neptune Society of Northern Ca-Stockton www.neptune-society.com

Dear Betty,
I am very sorry to hear of Bill's passing. I have nothing but fond memories of Bill and the many good times we shared.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Bill always liked good quotes so it seemed appropriate to share one here:

“Sorrow comes to all...Perfect relief is not possible, except with time. You cannot now realize that you will ever feel better and yet you are sure to be happy again. -- Abe Lincoln"

Dear Betty,
Our thoughts are with you and yours.
I will always think of Bill as that amazing guy that could build an airplane. We know that he soars in Heaven now in his "Kit-Fox".

I did not know Bill as an adult but as the impish younger brother of my dear friend Laurie. I still remember him and his brother removing the labels from all the cans in his parents' larder. In my mind he is still young ...
