Marilyn J. Laidet

Highland Mills - Marilyn J. Laidet, a 40-year area resident, passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2007 at Orange Regional Medical Center in Goshen. She was 63. The daughter of the late Henry and Ruth Huies, she was born November 17, 1943 in Queens. Marilyn was a retired Social Worker for Orange County Department of Social Services in Newburgh. She was member of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Rock Tavern. Survivors include her husband, Michel Laidet of Highland Mills; daughters, Laura Y. Till and her husband, John of Cornwall, Dominique J. Meyers and her husband, Mike of Goshen; brother, Allen Huies and his wife, Sachie of Japan; grandchildren: Devon, Alexis, Stephanie, Hailey and Aiden; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Gregory M. Laidet. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 8, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Smith, Seaman and Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 117 Maple Ave., Monroe, NY 10950. Funeral services will take place on Friday, November 9, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home, with the Rev. James R. Bridges officiating. Interment will follow in Warwick Cemetery in Warwick.
