Shirley Kohl Obituary

Goshen, NY

Shirley M. Kohl of Goshen, a retired secretary, died on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 in Englewood Hospital in New Jersey. She was 82.

The daughter of the late John and Catherine Taffner Seifert, she was born on June 17, 1926 in Pittsburgh, KS. She was the widow of Gustave A. Kohl.

She was a member of the Sawgrass Nature Center and Wildlife Hospital in Coral Springs, FL.

Survivors include her children: Donald Kohl and his wife, Joan of Coral Springs, FL, Catherine Barnett and her husband, Bruce of Goshen and James Kohl and his wife, Bunhui of Passaic Park, NJ; her sister, Betty Perry of Pittsburgh, KS and sister-in-law, Julie Fruscella of New York, NY. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Krystin and Rick Barnett, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Visitation hours will be held on Sunday, October 26, from 5-7 p.m. at the Lippincott Funeral Chapel, Inc., 107 Murray Ave., Goshen, NY.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 27, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Orange County Veterans Cemetery, Goshen, NY.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Sawgrass Nature Center and Wildlife Hospital, 3000 Sportsplex Dr., Coral Springs, FL 33065.
