Donald Jay Fast, Jr., age 58, passed away on June 16, 2022, at his home, in Honor.
Donald was born October 8, 1963, in Frankfort, Michigan. He was the son of Bonnette Faye Fast (Heniser) and Donald Jay Fast, Sr. He graduated from Benzie High School in 1982. He joined the military in 1985, serving for 10 years; and after that he had many jobs.
He had three sons with his former wife, June Engelbertson: Donald & Alyssa, Josh & Isabel, and Dean. He will be dearly missed by his granddaughter, Madison. He also leaves behind his siblings, Kathy Fredrick, Bob Fast, and Matt Fast.
He had many hobbies throughout his life. While stationed in Japan, he was a member in a Japanese Harley Davidson Club. They liked him because he spoke English and could order parts from the US. He taught his sons to work on cars and often helped nieces and nephews work on theirs. He was always up for helping. Later in life he took up sailing and spent his last few summers living on his boat at the marina in Elberta.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at the Bennett-Barz Funeral Home, in Beulah. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until time of services at the funeral home.
