Redding, CA
Dave Brooks Hamlin, born April 4, 1943.
Passed September 14, 2015 at the age of 72.
Raised in Johnson Park, California, with his surviving brother, James Hamlin. Dave served two tours of combat in Vietnam.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Hamlin as well as his two sons, eldest David, and youngest Brent and his wife Serena. He will be greatly missed by his seven grandchildren Ashley, David, Emma, Julie, Tyran, Daylin, and Dillon. Dave also leaves behind his adopted children, Christopher and Kristy Meredith, Julie Bravo and Summer Smith and his extended family Joseph Pielcher, Tommy and Donna Elenberger, and Paul and Tina Kjos.
Due to his past military service in the United States Army, in lieu of flowers or other overtures, please feel free to make a donation in his honor to the "Wounded Warrior Project," and contribute toward a goal Dave believed to be the responsibility of every American.
The world will be a lesser place in your absence Dad.

One of the finest men I have known. Was recently with him at the VA Clinic...Gave him a hug and told him how much I appreciated him. He made the world a better place. May God cover his family and friends with the blanket of peace. Dave is at rest and he will be missed.
