Kelle Lauree Clark
Redding, CA
mar. 29, 1981 - sept. 2, 2018
Kelle Lauree Clark was a gift. In her short 37 years she touched the lives of many through her generous spirit. Kelle lost her life on September 2, 2018 in an accident at Lake Shasta, CA. She was born March 29, 1981 in Helena, Montana, the daughter to Ronald James Clark and Allyn Feci Van Hooser. Her greatest accomplishment was her daughter Kelsey McKayla Hunter, 15. They were great adventure seekers. Together they loved everything outdoors and could be found together on the hill snowboarding all winter, and wakeboarding, practicing soccer, or doing lake time during summers.
Kelle was a life-long traveler. She especially loved traveling down the street to her Aunt Donna Lamping's, whom she was very close to. As a toddler, Kelle could be found hand-in-hand with sister Cirby galivanting with their golden retriever Becki Sue between home and Aunt Donna's with her cousins Tami, Daniell, and Ty. She loved visiting Auntie Laurie in San Francisco where she began honing her culinary palate at Postrio Restaraunt at age six. Kelle put nothing off. Traveling to Sweden, Hawaii, Cozumel and many trips to Cabo. Kelsey and Kelle visited Jamaica with their second family Pam and Dave Krautkraemer, parents to her best friend Nick. Most recently she went sky diving in Las Vegas and scuba diving in Belize with her boyfriend Tim. She loved sandboxes and snow which grew into her love for beaches, scuba diving, and snowboarding. She loved rainy days and the great outdoors especially fly-fishing trips with her closest buds Greg Kennedy and Ross Wilkerson. Kelle loved music and shared a special bond with her "Folker" sisters. She was looking forward to another year at the Sisters, Oregon Folk Festival and spending time with her shenanigan fun-havers Janis Logan, Dana Brooks, Crystal, Hannah, Sunni, Jannelle, Elsa Mae, Sherry and Angela.
Kelle spent her high school years at Enterprise High School in Redding graduating in 1999. She loved soccer which she started playing in second grade, but especially loved playing for Coach O'Ravez with the Enterprise Hornets. She played through her freshman year at Carroll College in Helena, Montana, and passed down her passions for soccer and snowboarding to her daughter Kelsey.
Kelle was an exceptional server at Market Street Steak House. She had many favorite customers whom she loved. She could often be found sparring with her customers and leave a table laughing. She truly enjoyed people, and laughter was food for her soul.
Kelle is survived by her daughter Kelsey McKayla Hunter, her boyfriend Tim Williams, her mother and step-father Allyn and Michael E. Van Hooser, her father Ronald James Clark and step-mother Jane LaCroix, her sister and brother-in-law Cirby and Tu Manivong, and step-brothers Blake LaCroix and Michael J. Van Hooser, and step-sisters Emily Gower, Melissa Van Hooser, and Stephanie Styles, and nieces and nephews Taylor, Austin, Braxton, Olivia, Rowan, Kloe, Kiara, and Briar, and many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
The family is especially grateful for the generous outpouring of love from the community and especially her work family Kenny Breedlove, Wes Matthews, and the entire Market Street Steakhouse crew for all the support you have shown and the special ways you have honored Kelle. A celebration of life will be held October 13, 2018 at sunset on the Diestelhorst Bridge in Redding. Festivities will begin at 5:00pm. The Diestelhorst Bridge spans the Sacramento River and is located on Benton Drive between Riverside Drive and Quartz Hill Road in Redding, California.
