Joan White Obituary
WINTERVILLE - Joan Spain White, 58, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at her home. A memorial service will be conducted Saturday at 11am at Covenant Church. A reception will be held following the service.
Joan was a lifelong resident of Pitt County. Her faith in God was the most important thing in her life, followed by her family and friends. She was a member of Covenant Church and loved her church family, especially the Women of Hope and the "Jesus Girls." She enjoyed spending time at the ocean, in her swimming pool, and with her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Lorraine Spain.
Joan is survived by her husband of 37 years, Ron White; children, Shannon White of Ayden, Ron White, Jr, and wife Kim, and Brandon White, all of Winterville; grandchildren, Michael, Christopher, Emily, Hannah, and Brandon; great grandson, Elijah; father, Leland Spain; and brother, Lee Spain and wife Carol, all of Greenville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Church, 4005 Corey Rd, Winterville, NC 28590.

We always enjoyed Saturday service with Joan and Ron. We'll miss her but praise the Lord that she is now home.

I remember my first time at one of the small Bible groups I attended. These two ladies Joan & Denise Wise was the first two that welcomed me into the Covenant Church family many years ago. I've never forgotten that, it sticks to your heart forever. I had to say good bye to Denise awhile ago, now to Joan. Both women did the Lords work for sure. God bless.

While we are left grieving, Heaven is celebrating the arrival of this Saint! I pray for comfort and strength on Ron and the rest of the family. Joan will be missed.
