AVON - Martha Ann Julia (Guist) Bojes, age 45, 205 E. Clinton St., Avon, died at 7:10 a.m. Friday, July 11, 2008, in Lewistown.
She was born Nov. 3, 1962, in Boonton, New Jersey, the daughter of Carroll Guist and Ethel Hall Sutton.
She married Terry McElhiney on April 20, 1981, in New Jersey. They later divorced. She married Gary Bojes. They later divorced.
Surviving are a son, Sean Ryan McElhiney of Fayetteville, N.C.; daughters Christina Leigh McElhiney (Doug Deener) of Macomb and Tabitha Brooke McElhiney (Paul Lybarger) of Avon; two grandsons, Dalton and Brody Deener; sisters Dawn Montella of Staten Island, N.Y., Janet (Mark) Timari of Somerset, N.J., and Kathleen Reiser of Bangor, Pa.; and brothers Paul (Susie) Guist of Port Orange, Fla., and Joe Hall of Lambertville, N.J. She was preceded in death by her parents.
She was raised and educated in Boonton, N.J. and She attended Carl Sandburg College in Galesburg, where she received her GED. She completed the nursing assistant program at LaMoine Christian Nursing Home in Roseville. She worked as a CNA, then later worked as a factory worker at Farmland in Monmouth for more than six years.
Cremation will be accord-ed. Memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 19, 2008, at Avondale Lake in Avon, with the Rev. Christine Bivens officiating. Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home and Crematory, Knoxville, is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Martha Bojes Memorial Fund, c/o Tompkins State Bank, Avon.
