EATON — William H. "Bill" Daily, 83, of Eaton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2025, at Hospice of Dayton.
He was born April 18, 1942, in Hamilton, to the late Howard C. and Golden M. (Moberly) Daily. Bill was raised on the family dairy farm in West Elkton and was a lifelong resident of Preble County. After graduating from Preble Shawnee High School in 1960, he and his brother Curtis joined the United States Air Force. Bill proudly served in the military for four years at K.I. Sawyer AFB in Marquette County, MI. He later co-owned and operated both Daily's Inn and Daily Agency Real Estate and Insurance with his brother Rick. He was a member and past president of Rotary International and recipient of the Paul Harris Fellow Award; he was a past president of the Young Republicans Club. He also supported youth sports, having been a coach and umpire for Eaton Little League.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Curtis, Paul and Rick Daily and his sister Nancy Daily Grassmann.
He is survived by his wife of 61years, Sue Daily; daughters Lisa (Chris) Rupp and Linda Daily; grandchildren Katherine and Reid Rupp and Colton Watt; brother Dave (Janet) Daily; sisters-in-law Beverly Daily and Linda Daily; brother-in-law Forrest Grassmann and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
