Devoted to Her Family and Her Faith
COLCHESTER – It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that the family of Michelle Renee (Larrivee) Cote, age 55, of Colchester, formerly of Wolcott and Waterbury, share news of her tragic passing on Thursday, March 27, 2025.
Michelle was born on September 3, 1969, in Waterbury, CT, a daughter of Hubert Robert and Barbara Jo (D'Amato) Larrivee. She attended Holy Cross High School. She worked as a unit clerk at St Mary's Hospital and went on to work for many years as a diligent records specialist for the State of Connecticut, Department of Corrections, most recently at Cheshire Correctional. Michelle loved baking, cooking, and sharing her culinary creations with family and friends. Her skills extended to crafting, gardening, quilting, and crocheting, where she poured her heart into handmade gifts that warmed the hearts of those around her. Her faith was her salvation. She was a devoted parishioner of Central Baptist Church in Southington, where she was their organist. Michelle truly enjoyed providing for others, and on every Monday evening she cooked dinner for the students at New England Baptist College. Michelle always found the positive in life, despite great hardship. She loved people, and even in the face of her life's challenges, she always strived to be happy. She was a woman of great love, kindness, and strength. Her family was her most precious possession and time spent with any of them, especially her granddaughter, brought her great joy. May she find final peace, love and eternal rest in the gracious arms of our Lord.
Michelle's memory will be honored and cherished by her children, Jessica Cote of Plantsville, Melissa Cote and her fiancé Ronald Saade of Waterbury, the late David T. Cote Jr. and his wife Kate (LaMadeleine) Cote of Colchester, her beloved granddaughter, Emiliyah Cote, her sisters, Cheryl (Larrivee) Elkins and her husband Michael of Framingham, MA, Adrienne (Larrivee) Porter of Holliston, MA, along with her beloved nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.
Funeral Services for Michelle will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Central Baptist Church, 1505 West Street, Southington, CT 06489. All those attending are kindly asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will be held privately, at the convenience of her family. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects and visit with Michelle's family on Thursday, April 3, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 1987 East Main Street, Waterbury, CT 06705. To honor Michelle and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence ( https://secure.qgiv.com/for/ccadv/ ) in her memory would be greatly appreciated by her family. Loving kindness is always welcome, and it only takes a moment to offer a message of condolence and share a memory or words of comfort with the family and friends of someone who was important to you. Please do that on the funeral home tribute page at www.caseyfunerals.com .

Michelle and I worked together for years before finding out we were cousins from the Larrivee clan from Sherbrook Canada. We would always greet each other by saying "Hey cousin". I'm so glad we shared those family times together at work. She was a joy to be around. Rest in peace.

Dear Barbara. I'm sorry for your loss. Michelle was just a sweetheart. It was so nice working with you both at St. Mary's. You are in my prayers.

Michelle
What a beautiful soul, person and a dear friend. You will be truly missed. I will miss our time together. our weekly conversation's, monthly dinner dates, praying for one another and mostly your love and friendship. You are an amazing woman, woman of God. You had so much love for everyone. The love you and support that you showed for all the people that you worked with goes above and beyond that words cannot express how grateful and blessed I am to have worked with you and that I can call you my best friend. I will miss showing you pictures of my grandchildren and seeing your beautiful granddaughter grow up. My heart goes out to all your family member's; your daughter´s, daughter-in-law, granddaughter, parents, siblings, and everybody who knew you. I am so sorry for the pain and the loss that your family is enduring right now.
I pray that God will give them peace that they will feel his presence.

Michelle had such a loving and giving heart. She taught me how to make homemade chicken soup and to this day I still make it the way she taught me. She will be greatly missed. Love, Rich and Stephanie Ricard
