Gary Kelly

1947 - 2022

Gary Kelly of Rifle, formerly Loveland Colorado passed away on December 25 th , 2022, at the age of 75. Gary was born on August 1 st , 1947, to Gerald Kelly and Leona Hansen in Pender, Nebraska. He spent his childhood in both Nebraska and Brighton, Colorado where he graduated high school in 1965. After completing one year of college Gary enlisted in the Navy where he served as a Corpsman stationed with the Marines. Gary was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, especially bow hunting. He was a volunteer firefighter here in Loveland. Gary was a skilled HVAC fabricator and technician and was part of Kelly's Heating and Kelly's HVAC Inc. He spent the last 26 years in Rifle on his acreage building a home he loved. Gary leaves behind a son, Kurt (Loree) Kelly, two grandchildren, Morgan and Rian of Silt, Colorado, a daughter, Angelia Kelly of Clarks Point, Alaska, a brother, Ric (Mary) Kelly of Loveland, Colorado, two sisters, Sue (Jim) Bettger of Brighton, Colorado, Denise (Wayne) Jablonski of Fountain Hills, Arizona, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Bonnie. Services will be Saturday, June 3 rd at 10 am at the First Christian Church in Rifle, CO. Reception will follow.
