You would not know that Marylou had any step children, she treated and prayed for her and Ralph's children with the same love and concern. She will be missed so Very, Very Much!

Marylou Cunningham Leavitt was a dear friend. We became acquainted many years ago when she moved to Rexburg and began working at RIcks College.
Her poetry attracted my attention, and I began setting many of her poems to music. A large number of our hymns, songs, and choral pieces have been published. Most notable is the hymn "We Listen To a Prophet's Voice" found in the 1985 LDS hymnbook. "Father, Bless our Sacred Homes" (and one other) is included in "The Choirbook" that is published by the Church.
Her writing is brilliant, and beautiful. Many of her poems are absolutely sublime. I hope to make a complete listing of all of our published songs and choral pieces that are published, and I plan to compile all of our songs that are not published and hope to send them to all of you.
Besides all of this, Marylou had a keen mind, and was at her best when she wrote about gospel subjects. She was a wonderful friend to me and Julie. We will miss her. Heaven will be richer and more beautiful now that she is there.
Love, Darwin and Julie Wolford
