Craig Jones Obituary

Craig Allan Jones

Craig Allan Jones passed away on November 13, 2020 at Renown Medical Center in Reno due to complications from Covid-19. He was 59 years of age. Craig was born in Reno on May 13, 1961 to Allan B. and Marie Jones.

Craig graduated from Marvin Piccolo School in Reno. Craig was an accomplished swimmer and enjoyed many years participating in Special Olympics where he earned many gold and silver medals, both locally and internationally. He also loved to bowl every Wednesday with his team over the years. He always looked forward to attending Camp Care each summer at Camp Galilee at Lake Tahoe.

Craig is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sister, Jeannine Funk (Dave) and his nephews, David Funk, Jr. and Tom Funk.

Craig will always be remembered for his big hugs and even bigger smile. A Celebration of Life will be held in May 2021. Donations in Craig's memory may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Sparks NV, P.O. Box 737, Sparks NV 89432 or to Special Olympics Nevada, c/o Terrence Thornton, 2950 S. Rancho Dr., Ste. 102, Las Vegas NV 89102.
