Kevin J. Shaney went home to God in the early morning hours on January 11, 2017 after a gallant fight with cancer. Kevin was a loved father, brother and uncle.
Kevin was born in Stevens Point, WI on May 23, 1950 to Kenneth James Shaney and Rose Mary (Birkolz) Shaney.
Kevin is survived by his children Adam (Lauren) Shaney and Kendra (Marv) Ramacher. He also leaves behind all 9 of his siblings; Rose Shaney, Gary Shaney, MaryJo Shaney, Jane Shaney, Stacey Normington, Bridget Shaney, Andrew Shaney, James "JJ" Shaney and Katrina Hayward. He will be greatly missed by his 4 grandchildren Kira, Maci, Colton and Addy, as well as many nieces and his nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Rose Mary as well as his nephew Zack Secrest.
Kevin appreciated the outdoors and enjoyed many camping, fishing and hunting excursions throughout his life.
In keeping with Kevin's wishes his family will travel back to Wisconsin in the spring to lay his ashes to rest at "The Shack" with his father, where the Shaney family made many fond memories.
