Lisa Willardson Obituary

1968 ~ 2013
Henderson, NV-Lisa Ann Willardson passed away on December 26, 2013 at her home in Henderson, Nevada. She was born in Salina, Utah, to Kathy J. Bastian and Robert L. Willardson on February 21, 1968.
Lisa graduated from North Sevier High school in 1986; Summa Cum Laude from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 1999, and Cum Laude from UNLV's William S. Boyd School of Law in 2002, receiving an array of academic awards and accolades throughout her academic journey.
Lisa was the owner of the law firm Willardson Law Group, PLLC; CEO and Editor of the Nevada Judicial Watch and the Nevada Judicial Guardian. Lisa not only devoted her time and resources, but her entire being to protecting society's most vulnerable - children. With no interest or regard for acknowledgement or praise, she earnestly fought for those that didn't yet have their own voice and dedicated herself to the health and welfare of children as a volunteer, as well as, an Assistant District Attorney in Clark County, Nevada. Lisa received the District Attorney Meritorious Award. In the 10 years she practiced law, she never lost a case. She was currently a candidate for District Court Judge - Family Division.
Lisa was a huge UFC fan, enjoyed 4-wheeling, snowmobiling, skiing and vacationing with siblings, nieces, nephews and parents. She also enjoyed working at the ranch. She was a super fan of her nieces and nephews and cheered them on at rodeos, soccer games, skate board parks, baseball games and track meets.
Lisa is survived by her life partner, Steven E. Jones; her mother, Kathy (Russ) Bastian; her father, Bob (Carol Ann) Willardson; brother and sisters: Shawn Willardson, Natalie Oppenheimer and Trina Willardson; step-sister, Nicole Chynoweth; nieces and nephews, Tyesha, Darien, Sierra and Ryker; grandmother, Helen Willardson; and a large extended family.
Lisa is preceded in death by a step-brother, Jared Bastian; her grandfather, Arnold Willardson; and grandparents, Stan and Beryl Jensen; and a great love, Cody L. Mickelsen.
A private family celebration honoring Lisa will take place on January 4, 2014.

To the Jones, Willardson, and Bastian families,
I am so sorry for the loss of Lisa your beloved partner, daughter, and sister.
Please accept my deepest sympathy.
Although I did not know her, we all experience the hurtful sting of loss.
May the support of those whom you know and love
and the promises from the God of all comfort that He will very soon put an end to all suffering, pain, and death, give you support, strength, and peace during this most difficult time.

Even though Lisa and I had'nt been in touch for quite a few years (our lives taking us on very different paths) Lisa is one of the most special and rare people that I have had the amazingly good fortune of not only meeting in my life...but, was someone I considered to be my very best buddy for quite a few years...Long before she became an attorney...when she owned a wonderful lil salon (I just have the most heartfelt memories of not only working side by side with Lisa...but, also having sooooo many happy, fun memories hanging outside of work) Staying up all night repainting the salon...being her matron of honour in her hot air balloon wedding...Her flying all the way back from Kansas after just moving there to stay and take care of me after surgery...Going to Utah together to visit her family and what would end up being my one and only ski trip...we spent more time face down in the snow and trying to get up than I actually think we spent skiing...I don't think I've ever laughed so much or so hard...and Lisa's wonderful family welcoming with such warmth and kindness...And still now there is hardly a day that I'm not out walking with my pups and I pass by any one of the homes she lived in that makes me think of her and makes me smile...Lisa, I will NEVER!!! forget you...Thank you sooooo much for being my friend!!!

Dear Willardsons, I'm saddened to hear of Lisa's passing. I worked with her when she was a teenager, she was the little lady with the big voice, she has used that voice for the good of others. I always thought she would go far. Please accept my condolences.
Sincerely, Marianne Brown

This is such sad and devastating news. Lisa was the most amazing, wonderful woman I have ever met. I considered it an honor be called her friend. She was enthusiastic about everything and her texts and emails always made me smile!! !!!! !!! :))))))) Anyone who knew her would know exactly what I'm talking about. She was everyone's biggest cheerleader...and I considered her my personal angel when I was going through a difficult time. God now has a beautiful angel with Him up in Heaven watching over all of us. My sincerest condolences.
