Roxy Robinson Obituary

Roxy Paige Robinson

Roxy Paige Robinson (Miller) passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on August 6th, 2011. Roxy was a cherished mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend and her sweet spirit will remain with us always.

Roxy was born on January 6, 1966 in Ogden, Utah and moved to Sparks, Nevada two years later where she spent the remainder of her life. She attended Sparks elementary and middle schools and graduated from Sparks High School in 1984. As a youth she enjoyed snow skiing, cheerleading, taking road trips to Utah, and nurturing her three younger siblings.

Roxy was hard working and independent, even applying for a work permit at the age of fifteen to get a job at the neighborhood Albertson's. She waitressed for several years, worked at Hamilton Company, and became a Community Service Officer for the Reno Police Department in 2001. Roxy adored her job and received esteemed letters of praise for accomplishments while serving the community. She took pleasure in the simple joys of life like camping and visiting the lake, listening to music, baking and trying new recipes, and tending her beloved dog, Max.

Roxy was a beautiful young woman who left this life too early. Her infectious laugh, fun-loving personality, kindheartedness, and love for others will be dearly missed. Roxy leaves behind her treasured son, Jes Sylvester, and her faithful companion, Max. Also surviving are her father and mother, Jon and Cheryl Robinson; brother Brooks (Angela) Robinson; sister Ella (Jess) McDoniels; brother JT (Spring) Robinson; and eleven nieces and nephews.

Our family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the doctors and nurses of the ICU at St. Mary's Hospital. For their superb care and treatment of Roxy, we will be forever grateful. Services will be held on Friday, August 12th at 10:00am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Spanish Springs located at 935 Mercedes Drive.
