Scott Erin McEwen was born May 13, 1971 in Hemet, California and passed away unexpectedly of health complications September 20, 2012 while away on business.
He was raised in Reno, Nevada and graduated from Hug High School. Scott was an avid fan of UNR football and the San Diego Chargers. Attending football games, skiing and wakeboarding were among his many outdoor interests. He was a building equipment mechanic for the U.S. Postal Service and was an APWU union member. Scott was a caring person who would always go out of his way to help a friend. His greatest accomplishment was seen in the dedication he had for raising his two daughters.
Scott is survived by his wife Estella; daughters, Sierra and Olivia; brother Bob; sister Bobbie; many nieces and nephews; a brother-in-law and sisters-in-law; father-in-law and mother -in-law.
A viewing will be held at Walton's Funeral Home at 875 W. Second St., Reno, Nevada on Friday, September 28, 2012 from 4-7 p.m. His life will be celebrated with a funeral service at Summit Christian Church located at 7075 Pyramid Highway, Sparks, NV on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 10:30 a.m.

-Uncle Scott you will be missed so much! Who could have known that you were going to be gone from one day to another! ): Ever since you left us it has been so sad we have cried a million tears, but we know that as many tears as we shed you will never come back. I am so glad you got to be part of our family, at your funeral I wanted to go up and say all the wonderful things about you but I knew I couldn't, I wouldn't be able to speak but we all know that you were such a good family member a loving and caring family memeber! I will never forget you, I will always have you in Mind Uncle Scott! I miss you!
