Ronald Gajewski

July 25, 2025

Ronald D. Gajewski, of Arden Hills, MN passed away peacefully on July 25, 2025, after a year-long battle with cancer.

Born on February 18, 1939 in Sparta, WI, Ron was the son of Walter and Helen Gajewski. He grew up in Sparta and later served in the Air Force. He was stationed in Korea as a member of the military police and a canine trainer. He married Kathryn Gajewski née Brooks in 1966 and together they raised two daughters Jennifer and Carrie in Rice Lake, WI. Ron's post-military career was in public safety for the state of Wisconsin.

Ron was known amongst his friends and family for his warmth, generosity, wisdom, quiet strength and a dry sense of humor. He was a deep nature-lover and donated both his time and money to several worthy social and environmental causes. His family meant the world to him. He was ever curious about the world and was a voracious reader of both fiction and non-fiction literature. His calming presence was a constant source of strength for his close family.

Ron is survived by his daughters Jennifer Mainkar (Neeraj) of Baltimore, MD, Carrie Gajewski of Baltimore, MD; his sisters Lois Ferrera of Beloit, WI and Carol Warnock of Rogers, AR, nieces and nephews, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Kathryn and his parents Walter and Helen Gajewski.

A memorial service will be announced in the near future.

He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
