Christine Pino Obituary
She was born on May 18, 1926 in Patton, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Vincenzo Ponzo (James Ponce) and Anna (Leone) Ponzo.
She attended Coalport-Irvona High School. She worked for Campolong's Clothing Factory in Madera and then at McGregor Shirt Factory in Coalport. In 1970 she and her husband opened Pino's Bar and Grill on Crestview Street in Irvona. She was later a business clerk at Steve's Riverside in Coalport.
On February 15, 1947 at St. Basil the Great Church in Coalport, she married Joseph John Pino, who preceded her in death on October 10, 2016.
She is survived by three children: Anthony, and his wife, Amy, of Columbus, OH; Patrick, and his wife, Kathleen, of Erie, PA; and Annamarie Hamilton, and her husband, Richard, of Altoona. Also surviving are seven grandchildren: Joseph Pino of Towson, MD; Anna Mastromonolis Pino of Forest Hill, MD; The Reverend Father Justin Pino of Ridgway, PA; Nathan Pino of Coalport, PA; Rachel Hamilton of Altoona, PA; and Sean Pino and Lauren Pino of Columbus, OH; seven great-grandchildren: Anthony, Allyson, and Angelina Pino; Emmanuel, Antonio, and Giuseppe Mastromonolis; and Hailey Hamilton; and one sister: Madelyn and her husband Jack Keith of Irvona, PA, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Sebastian (Pat) and Frank (Chick); and sister Angelarose (Dolly) McCoy.
There will be no viewing at Christine's own request. Arrangements are being handled by the Russin Funeral Home in Bellwood. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 11 a.m. at St. Basil the Great Church in Coalport with Christine's grandson, Father Justin P. Pino, presiding. Interment will be at St. Basil the Great Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family asks you to make a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Christine's name or have a mass offered for her.
