Donna K. Matheson

1937 - 2025

Donna K. Matheson, 87, of Ridgway, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Christ the King Manor following a lengthy illness.

She was born on June 10, 1937, in Ridgway, the daughter of late Sherwood T. and Ethel H. Holm Matheson.

Donna was a lifelong resident of Ridgway and a proud and faithful member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Donna dedicated many years of her career to the printing department at Stackpole, and later became the tax collector for the Ridgway Borough. A lover of simple pleasures, Donna cherished her daily routines of savoring coffee, nurturing her garden, and decorating.

She is survived by a daughter, Alison Kloeppel of Franklin, TN, a granddaughter, Kalina, a sister, Carol Ferraro of State College, 2 brothers, Gary Matheson of Ridgway and Wayne Matheson and his wife Barbara of Barberton, OH, and a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Matheson of Hudson, OH. She is also survived by 11 nieces and nephews: Helen Ann Guthrie, Lisa Oscarson, Beth Santaniello, Paula Freil, Kathleen Whitmer, David Matheson, Brian Matheson, Joseph Ferraro, Doug Matheson, Duane Matheson, and Steven Matheson, and numerous great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Matheson, a sister-in-law, Flora Sue Matheson, and a brother-in-law, Anthony Ferraro.

A Funeral Service for Donna K. Matheson will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Krise Funeral Home, 130 Center Street, Ridgway, PA, 15853, with Rev. Ron Burkett officiating.

Burial will follow at Oakmont Cemetery.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday at Krise Funeral Home from 10:00 Am until the time of service.
