Brian Sisson Obituary

Brian Lee Sisson

October 23, 1973 - May 25, 2023

Brian Lee Sisson, 49, of Shawsville, Va., entered Heaven's gates on Thursday, May 25, 2023.

Brian is survived by his beloved wife, Heather Sisson; children, Jessica Underwood (Braiden) and Bailee Reed (Aaron); his parents, Gary and Sharon Sisson; brother, Mark Sisson (Shannon); niece, Morgan Wills (Seth); nephews, Dakota and Carsyn Sisson; great nephew, Jaxon, as well as many other family members, special friends; and his best partner in crime, his dog Emma.

Brian was most known for his love and compassion for others, especially his family. He was a life-long resident of Shawsville and was known by many for his love of lawncare, as he owned and operated a lawncare business for many, many years. Brian was a light and an inspiration to everyone he met. Brian became paralyzed at the young age of seventeen, and with that came many life challenges, but he never let that stop him from living his best life.

A special thank you to Medi Home Health and Hospice of Pulaski, as well as our church family at Shawsville Congregational Holiness Church for all of the prayers, love and support.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Shawsville Congregational Holiness Church in the gym. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at 11 a.m. at the church gym. Interment will follow in Piedmont Cemetery.

My prayers are with all of you.
Brian was such a good guy. He could make anybody smile on their worse of days. I always told him , if I could have hand picked a little brother, I would have hand picked him. We sure had some good times working together. I will forever hold his memory close to my heart.
RIP buddy. I´ll surely love and miss you always.

To the Sisson family,
I worked with Gary and Philip for many years at Roanoke Electric Steel. I can remember Brian and Mark when they were young boys. The loss of your child is extremely difficult, my heart goes out to you. I have been praying for God to comfort and strengthen you at this difficult time.
