Dorothy Mary English Dillon

May 7, 1939 - July 8, 2025

Dorothy Mary English Dillon, age 86 of Ferrum, formerly of Burnt Chimney, left her earthly home to be with Jesus on Tuesday morning, July 8, 2025. She was born in Franklin County on May 7, 1939, to the late Samson and Sarah English. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Melvin "Doc" Dillon; son, Jimmy Lawson Dillon; one sister, several brothers, nieces and nephews. Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughter, Vicky (Eddie) Young of Ferrum; her grandson, Nathaniel Wayne Young of Wirtz; her brother, Charles (Pat) English of Rocky Mount; along with many nieces and nephews. Her family would like to thank everyone for the prayers and acts of kindness during this difficult time. Out of respect for the family's wishes, no services will be held. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.

I have known Dorothy and Doc for many years. Jimmy was a good friend with my son, Timmy. They seemed to be a happy family, always smiling and talking. All of them would help you with anything you needed. God bless the remaining members of the family.
