Robert Currie Jr.
LUMBERTON — Robert "Bob" Lee Currie Jr., 68, passed away Feb. 17, 2016, at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton.
He was born in Moore County on May 6, 1947. He was the co-owner of Currie Chainsaw Inc.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee Currie Sr.
Bob is survived by his mother, Elsie Oliver Currie of Lumberton; his wife, Laurie Fiser Currie of the home; a son, Kevin Lee Currie and wife Brandi of Lumberton; a daughter, Kristina Currie Liljestrand and husband Aaron of Wake Forest; two brothers, William Currie and John Currie, both of Lumberton; a sister, Nancy Pittman of Lumberton; and four grandchildren, Dalton Currie, Talan Liljestrand, Adyson Currie, and Teagan Liljestrand.
The visitation will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory Inc.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church of Lumberton, the Rev. David Ruth officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Robert Preston Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke, Duke University Medical Center, DUMC Box 3624, Durham, N.C., 27710; or to Southeastern Hospice House, 1100 Pine Run Drive, Lumberton, N.C., 28358.
