I did not have the good fortune to have met Mr. Ledbetter; but feel I know him through his son, Jeff. Now, having just read his wonderful accomplishments and commitment to family, friends, his county and his country - it is no wonder at all that Jeff is as fine a person as he is. There are those that go before us that make us proud to have even heard their name. My deepest sympathy to the Ledbetter family.

My condolences and sympathy to the Ledbetter family. The passing of Captain Ledbetter is a great loss to us all. When ever I came to him with a question or problem, he always seemed to have the right answer. May he rest in peace with our Lord and Saviour.

John Ledbetter was one of the most "stand up" supervisors I ever worked with. The lessons he taught me as a young officer have stayed with me to this day. He bowed to no one and stood up for those who needed it. He will be missed. My sympathy to the family that I know he loved.

One of the best officers that I ever worked with.Always dependable and could be counted one whenever needed.

Captain Ledbetter was my supervisor in homicide, south precinct and east precinct as well as a neighbor and friend in Conyers, Ga. The police department could always depend on him to be there for the officers and detectives he worked with. He may be gone but I will never forget him. Please accept my condolences in this time of sorrow and know that he is in a better place. God bless.
