Benjamin Williams Obituary

Mr. Benjamin Lamar "Ben" Williams, age 39, of Rome, GA, entered into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, July 18, 2024.

Ben was born in Rome, GA, on May 20, 1985, son of Mr. Timothy Lamar Williams and Mrs. Mina Sue Dickey Glaze. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Hayden Williams, and by a special aunt, Donna Watkins. Ben had recently started a job at Mavis Tire in Sandy Springs, where he was a do-it-all technician and was learning the ropes in every aspect of the business. He loved spending time with his family and was content to spend his time watching tv (especially comedies, sports, and most movies) with them. In his younger days, Ben was an avid baseball player and excelled at the sport. He was a firm believer in Jesus Christ, attending Life Church and was baptized on July 16, 2023, and is now rejoicing in the presence of his Lord and Savior for eternity.

Survivors include his parents, Timothy Williams, Rome, and Mina Sue Glaze (John), Rome; his paternal grandmother, Bennie Jo Williams; aunts, Shelby Ayers and Christi Butler; numerous other aunts, cousins and extended family whom he loved dearly.

Funeral services will be held at 11am on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, with Pastor Jason Stockton officiating. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens where he will be laid to rest next to his brother.

The family will receive friends from 5pm until 7pm on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel.

This is not the end. Ben is starting his new life. He was precious baby and now we will celebrate his life. I had the privilege of being his Aunt and part of his family.
We now have to mourn his passsing. Our family will not be the same without Ben. I know we’ll find comfort in each other, and we'll get through this together. Ben will live on in our hearts. I was blessed to have Ben in my life, and that I got to be part of his family. I love you and will miss you for the rest of my life. But, I know I will see you again. You are with your brother, Rob now, and you are in the presence of the Lord. Love you with all my heart.
