Emma Lyon Obituary
Emma was born in New Hartford on September 12, 1999, the daughter of Christopher M. and Anne F. Risley Lyon. She graduated with a Regents Diploma, with honors, from Adirondack High School, Boonville, with the Class of 2017. Thereafter, she furthered her education at MVCC and also studied art at an online venue. At the present time, Emma was employed as a receptionist at Rome Pediatrics, Rome, NY, and a prior employment was for Kinney Pharmacy Store, Boonville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Matthew Rawson on Monday, December 30, 2024, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church, Boonville, with interment in the spring in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Forestport. Calling hours are Sunday, December 29, 2024, from 1-4 and 6-8 P.M. at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc., 143 Schuyler St., Boonville.

Emma May was truly an amazing and talented young woman. She was the one of the best friends I could have had growing up and I will forever cherish the memories I made with her while I had the chance. We got to be true goofballs together... Her sense of humor was truly unmatched. My thoughts and prayers are with all her family and loved ones; she was the brightest star here on solid ground and now she gets to be the brightest star in the sky and a guardian angel to all of us.

Chris, Ann and Brenden. We share in the grief of the Forestport community and wants you all to know how deeply sorry to hear of Emma´s passing. We will always hold close, the memories made with her. She was so welcoming to our daughter when we moved to the community mid year and fourth grade. She was such a great friend to Kara and we always enjoyed her visits. She was so respectful and brought so much joy to us through her laughter and animation. I pray you find comfort in the memories you have with her.
