On this St. Patrick´s Day, what is to say about Jean. Well, Jeanie was a force of nature. When she walked into a room, she´d burst in with laughter and chatter. She had a personality so big and enchanting that she was the star of the show!
Jeannie was stunning, and her looks got her a lot of attention, but she just laughed that off. She didn´t take herself too seriously and that was a part of her charm.
Jean loved to celebrate her birthday. But one day wasn´t enough for her! So, she decided to celebrate her entire birth week, and sometimes her whole birth month. And the next celebration was always just around the corner. St. Paddy´s was the reason and justification for another extended celebration.
At Jeanie´s service, her youngest daughter seemed to be channelling her Mother. "I´m the youngest...the best looking and the smartest." I could hear Jean in her words and imagined her laughing along with us.
One of the earliest memories I have of Jean: Her driving very fast up Campion Rd wearing her orange Grossman´s jacket trying to get to work on time.
She could catch fish with her bare hands.
Her senior year in high school, she was selected as the class´s Women´s Libber.
She loved sweet and sour pork. I´ll always regret not giving her my recipe for it.
Above all, Jean loved her family more than anything in the world..
