Justin C. Donhauser

Justin C. Donhauser Ph.D, passed on October 12, 2023, at his home in Bowling Green, OH, after a long illness.

Born on June 5, 1981, in Utica, NY, Justin's hometown was Remsen, NY. Justin attended Remsen Central Schools, graduating in 1999. He received an AAS from MVCC, a BA from SUNY Oneonta, an MA at SUNY Buffalo and a Ph.D from Buffalo University. Justin taught at Buffalo University and Niagara University and did his Postdoctorate Fellowship at Western University's Rotman Institute and Bowling Green University, where he served as a Professor, but also as Director of the university's Institute for Ethics & Public Affairs, which he co-founded.

A self-taught musician, who was in bands in Utica and Buffalo, Justin lived his life with gusto and fought a fierce battle against the cancer he was diagnosed with in 2021. He so wanted to live for his children, but sadly we lost Justin.

He was predeceased by his father, Howard Donhauser Jr., in December 2005.

Justin leaves behind two daughters, ages 14 and 9, along with their mother, Robyn I. Lewis Donhauser, his long-time companion, friend and wife of 25+ years, formerly from Camden, NY; mother, Donna Yoxall Donhauser; adopted father, Anthony Dilapi, of Remsen, NY; brother, Garret Donhauser; sister-in-law, Erin Leuenberger Donhauser; niece of Saranac Lake, NY; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and colleagues.
