Lefa Poole Obituary
Lefa was born in Adams, NY on April 24, 1927 to the late Daniel and Jennie Davis Arnold. Her and Robert were united in marriage in 1946 in Fulton, NY; a blessed union of 65 years until his passing on November 10, 2011. Lefa worked as a clerk for Jet Dry Cleaners in Rome for many years.
She enjoyed going to the casino to play the slot machines, and she had a wonderful sense of humor.
Lefa is survived by her daughter, Diana (Roger) DeGasto of Dallas, GA; her son, Ronald Poole of Rome; five grandchildren, Shawna Smith, Roger DeGasto II, Ronald Poole II, Jeremy Poole, and Jamie Poole; 13 great grandchildren- one of which, Ginny Smith, who helped care for her; two great, great grandchildren; her siblings, Earl (Colleen) Arnold, Burnice Braun, Jacqueline Lancaster, Barbara Pitcher, Gary Arnold, Judy Pryor, and Joan Spohn; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 AM, at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery in the spring.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10 to 11 AM prior to the funeral.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
