Timothy C. Utter

Timothy C. Utter, 72, of Taberg, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2023, with his loving family by his side.

Born in Rome, NY, on March 13, 1951, he was a son of Joseph P. Utter and Pearl Parker Utter. Tim was a graduate of Holland Patent High School. Following graduation, Timothy had a successful career as a well driller and was the proud owner of Tim Utter Well Drilling. Tim was united in marriage to Barrie Marcellus on October 10, 1997; together they shared many blessed years of friendship and love.

Timothy enjoyed the time spent outdoors; a day in nature was a day well spent for Tim. He especially enjoyed camping at Raquette Lake. He also was an avid fan of Harley Davidson motorcycles. Tim enjoyed the company of his friends and family; his abundance of friends was a testament to Tim's personality, a good soul and a friend to all. Tim's greatest pride and joy was his son, Jeff Utter and his beloved granddaughter, Payton Utter, whom Tim truly adored.

Tim is survived by his wife, Barrie Marcellus Utter, of Taberg; son, Jeff and Kim Utter, of Lee Center; granddaughter, Payton Utter, of Lee Center; brothers, Donald Utter, Lawrence Utter, Keith Utter and Bruce Utter; sister, Sharon Hanson; sisters-in-law, Beth Marcellus, Brett Hughes and Mary Ellen Utter; brother-in-law, William Marcellus; along with several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Pearl Utter; brothers, Richard and Kevin Utter; in-laws, William and Diane Mooney Marcellus; and brother-in-law, Chris Hanson.

Friends and family are invited to call on Friday, October 20 from 2-4 p.m. at Strong-Burns & Sprock Funeral Home, 7751 Merrick Road, Rome.
