Cynthia Pellman Obituary

CYNTHIA J. PELLMAN, 73 MACHESNEY PARK - Cynthia J. Pellman, 73, of Machesney Park passed away Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012, at home. Born Oct. 12, 1939, in Detroit Lakes, Minn., the 12th child of Joe and Bernice (Pooley) Crovisier. Married Robert V. Pellman on Jan. 13, 1957, in Lake Park, Minn. She was employed with the Harlem School District for 24 years, providing love and support to hundreds of special needs children and their families. Cynthia and Robert had six children; her life was her family. She was a den mother/room mother during her children's school years and a Cub scout leader. Cynthia was devoted to the care of her own two special needs sons and they gave her the will to endure two years of cancer treatment and outlive all expectations. Survivors include husband, Robert; children, Randy (Ann) of Rockford, Rory (Donna) of Invergrove Heights, Minn., Richard, Lee and Ryan, all of Rockford; daughter, Melanie (Brice) Evans of Rockford; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild; sister, Lorane Royce of Fergus Falls, Minn.; brother, Baird (Carol) Crovisier of Oxnard, Calif. Predeceased by parents; four brothers; and five sisters. Special thanks to many dear friends, especially Lori Meyer and Bev Fletcher, the staff at Milestone and Mosaic for their loving care of her sons, Ryan and Lee, and to our many dear friends in Minnesota for their love and prayers. Service at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, at Delehanty Funeral Home Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park. Burial in Scandinavian Cemetery. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established. For more information, visit delehantyfh.com.
