I remeber the first time John and met Bro. Fred Glenn. He was a man among men.
Heaven will certainly be much richer having brought him home. Our prayers go out to the family in your time of lose. No truer person were we ever blessed to have crossed our life's path.

My father was also a member and supporter of the Kishwaukee St. Baptist Church for many years. He worked for a few years at Rockford Screw Products at Harrison and Kishwaukee streets. Then he worked for EBY Housemovers. Later he was an owner/operator of apartments as a manager/maintenance man.
He and his wife took in foster children for the police dept in high risk situations for a couple of years. Their door was as open as their hearts.
He loved fishing, camping, John Wayne movies and country music. Most of all he loved his family. He was a simple man who lived simply. He never drank or smoked. He was always there to lend a helping hand. He used to say to me, "Boy, give a hand when some else needs it and they'll be there for you when you need it." The golden rule. He lived it. Rest in peace dad. You did a good job of raising us. I'll miss you. Your loving son, Gene Ray Glenn Sr. Seattle Washington. (Jefferson High School, class of 1975)
