Mae Adamson-Hullinger Obituary
Mae Ada (Cordray) Adamson-Hullinger, 96, of Caledonia, IL passed away, Saturday evening, October 6, 2018, peacefully at the home of her daughter. Mae was born in Boone County, IL on May 21, 1922, the daughter of Francis Denver and Mabel Ruth (Johanningsmeier) Cordray. Mae married Andrew L. Adamson on May 20, 194,1 in Garden Prairie, IL. Following Andrew's death, she later married Robert Hullinger on November 24, 1990, in Belvidere, IL. Mae is loved and will be missed by her children, Glenn (Elaine) Adamson of Maricopa, AZ, Beth (Young) Hong of Belvidere, IL, Jill Adamson of Roscoe, IL, and Kim (Chris) Semmelroth of Rockford, IL; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great- grandchild; brother, Jim Cordray; god-daughter, Kathy Winnie; nieces and nephews. Mae is preceded in death by her grandson, Steven Hong; husbands, Andrew Adamson and Robert Hullinger; parents; sisters, Fern Osterberg and Bea "Irene" Cassidy; brother, Gail "Buck" Cordray. Mae loved her farm, fishing, gardening, dancing and most of all spending time with her family. Mae's heart was filled with joy and love.
Per Mae's wishes, her body has been gifted to Northern Illinois University. A memorial service and celebration of her life will be held in June 2019. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given in care of the Keenage Center, 2141 Henry Luckow Lane, Belvidere, IL 61108 or Salvation Army, 422 S. Main Street, Belvidere, IL 61008.
