MARCELL MAURICE 'CELLI' EGAN, 16 ROCKFORD - Marcell Maurice "Celli" Egan, 16, departed this life Sunday, April 17, 2011, in Rockford Memorial Hospital. Born July 3, 1994, in Phoenix to the proud parents of Gabrielle Egan and Joseph Clay. Marcell attended East High School and Larkin Academy where he displayed his outstanding talent in basketball. He also played basketball in the Sara League under the under Coach Jerric Stovall; he played point-guard, small forward and center. Marcell will be greatly missed, but his life and spirit will forever live within our hearts. Marcell leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Gabrielle (Larry ) Egan; father, Joseph Clay; brothers, Joseph Threadgill, Jovan and DeVante Egan and Laytwan Clay; sisters, Kaja and Latysha Threadgill; grandfather, Justo Diaz; grandmother, Joyce Egan; paternal grandmother, Emma Clay; godmother, Deana Martin; aunts, Angela Egan, Akira Fredericks, Donnie, Sherry Sovell; special aunts, Raven Diaz, Capricia Charles, Tammy Brooks, and Rolanda Pendelton; uncles, Maurice Egan, Justo Diaz, Angelo Diaz and Essex Woods; a host of cousins, relatives and friends; and special friends, Dustin Larosa, Sonny Mucura and Cartale Mils. Service at noon Monday, April 25, in Collins & Stone Funeral Home, 3993 W. State St., Rockford, with visitation from 10 a.m. to time of service. Entombment in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
