MARY ALICE KRULL, 68 ROCKFORD - Mary Alice Krull, 68, formerly of Rockford, died Friday, Sept. 23, 2011, in Madison, Wis. Born Feb. 7, 1943, in Rockford to Carl and Betty (Pfluger) Vollmer. She lived in Rockford until 1966, moving to Wisconsin. Survivors include sons, Dennis and Daniel; daughters, Tina, Sharon and Deborah; three grandchildren; brothers, Alfred (Frances) Vollmer and James (Mollie) Vollmer of Rockford and John (Kim) Vollmer of South Beloit; sisters, Violet (Maurice) DeVlieger of Rockford and Joanne (Gerald) Greenlee of Machesney Park; sister-in-law, Yvonne Vollmer of Rockford; numerous nieces and nephews; roommate and special friend, Cassie; and her feline friend, Sammy. Predeceased by her parents and brother, Carl. The family would like to express special appreciation to Kira Stewart and the rest of the staff at Options in Community Living. Mass of the resurrection at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, in St. Bridget Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Ave., Loves Park, with visitation from 9 a.m. to time of Mass; Father Brian Olsen will officiate. Private family burial. A special memorial service will be held in Madison, Wis., at a future date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Options in Community Living, 22 N.
