Not many people knew this but I always called Roger the "Ramjet", what a true inspiration he was to me, I have some real found memories of several personal conversations that we had about life in general, and I truely always walked away feeling inspired and like a better person at the end of the day because of his wisdom. I truely looked up to the man and always looked forward to hopefuly seeing him when I was back in town. The racing community has lost a true patron of the sport, and like most I personally will miss my friend. GOD BLESS YOU ROGER!

Roger was a good friend an always helped me when ever he could. He was always real nice when he came through the pit gate and stopped to talk a moment with me. I worked the pit gate or in the pit shack for 54 1/2 years so he went by me quite a few times. Sorry for the family but life goes on even if some of us must leave.. Jack R. Freeberg
