Ruby Moore Obituary
Ruby Jean Moore, 91, of Rockford departed this earthly life January 21, 2019 in her home. She was born May 20, 1927 in Birmingham, Alabama the daughter of Beulah Gray and Robert Hammond. Ruby lived in Rockford since 1941 coming from Birmingham. She was employed as a laborer by G C Electronics and Floweze Company before retiring. Ruby accepted Christ at a young age. Ruby was a member of the Elks Lodge. She attended schools in Birmingham later to receive her G.E.D.
Ruby leaves to cherish many loving memories, two daughters, Shirley and Leora Moore; three sons, Dwight (Margaret), Steve and Timothy (Pam) Moore; 8 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents; daughter, Annie Mae Fletcher, three brothers, and two sisters.
Services will be held 1:00p.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
