Terry Carner Obituary
Terry V. "Chef" Carner, 51, of Rockford, passed away at home on Friday, November 25, 2016. He was born July 16, 1965 in Rockford, the son of Leonard and Connie Carner. Terry married Joanne Majernik in Belvidere on August 11, 1990. He was the former owner of Northwoods Grill and Bar in Loves Park, and was a chef at various Rockford area restaurants and in Florida. Terry enjoyed listening to music with his friends and taking trips with his wife Joanne, and dog, Kioki, to the lake. He always loved cooking for family and friends. He is a member of American Lombardi Society. Survivors include his wife, Joanne, of Rockford; a son, Justin of Chattanooga, TN; his father, Lenny of Los Angeles, CA; his father and mother-in-law, John and Barb Majernik of Belvidere; and many extended family members. Predeceased by his grandmother, Violet Elliott; special uncle, Jerry Carner; cousin, Jeremy Carner; his mother Connie Sproles; and his Dalmatian, Oreo.
Visitation from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Friday, December 2, 2016 in Sundberg Funeral Home, Ltd. 215 N. Sixth St., Rockford. Online condolences at sundbergfh.com. Burial in Willwood Burial Park at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family.

My dear friend Joanne and Justin...I was saddened to hear of Terry's passing .I am pleased to say he was our friend who loved his wife and son and pets dearly also loved cooking and was very spirited. I'm sorry I can't be with you in this time of sorrow physically but please know that I am with you in thoughts and prayers. Wishing I could be there ..saddened I cannot make it due to medical reasons you are in my prayers.bobbie in streator.love and hugs to all!

Joanne, so sorry to hear that Terry has passed away. I didn't know his health was that bad. We had so many fun time's on your deck over the year's, he'll be missed. Hopefully I will see you friday, god bless
