MyraBelle Kidder Obituary
She was born on June 17, 1999, in Victorville, CA, the daughter of David M. and Kathleen (Brown) Kidder.
MyraBelle grew up in Benson where she excelled in academics as a home schooler. She enrolled in Community College of Vermont at the age of 14, graduating in 2017 cum laude with an associate degree. She was a senior at Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, NY, where she was part of their social work program earning academic honors in both her junior year semesters.
She was a talented musician and played the piano, flute, piccolo and guitar. She played in the Benson Village School Band and the Fair Haven Union High School Band and earned a place in the Green Mountain Music Festival each year from 2011 – 2016. In 2016, MyraBelle also earned a place with the All State Music Festival. She played in various other music festivals, as well as the Lakes Region Youth Orchestra.
MyraBelle was a member of the Fair Haven Baptist Church/New Life Ministries where she was an integral part of the worship team.
She enjoyed hiking, running, strength training and fishing with her brother, Ethan. She was focused, determined and fiercely loyal with a quick wit and spirited attitude. MyraBelle was very giving of herself and willing to help others whenever needed. She was competitive and excelled at anything she set her mind on. Although full of sass, she was genuine and kind-hearted.
Survivors include her parents David and Kathleen Kidder, of Benson; two brothers Brennan Kidder, who is with the U.S. Air Force stationed in FL, and Ethan Kidder, of Benson, who was also her closest friend; grandparents Robert and Carol Whitaker; Auntie Suzie Davis, Uncle Paul Brown; and a treasured niece and nephew.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, 2018, at the Fair Haven Baptist Church/New Life Ministries, 6 South Park Place, Fair Haven, VT. A reception celebrating her life will follow at the Castleton American Legion Hall, 378 Route 4A W, Castleton, VT.
Arrangements are with the Durfee Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Step Pregnancy Center, 138 West St., Rutland, VT 05701.

Belle was an amazing young woman full of life, spunk and smiles! She was an amazing addition to our work team and was well liked by all associates and customers! To say Belle will be missed is an understatement. When I called to get Belle's school schedule, I was looking forward to catching up and seeing how her summer was going. My paths crossed with Belle for a very short time at CCV. We had a few classes together and occasionally saw each other in the halls. She always greeted me with kindness and a smile. We lost touch after I graduated and moved to Missouri but her loss deeply saddens me. Truly a kind soul. She is missed deeply and will forever have a place in my heart. Belle was one of my first good friends at Roberts. She helped me greatly through one of my social work classes and lived below me in Davison. We enjoyed doing random runs to chipotle, long car rides to waste time and talk and listen to music, and we loved shopping together! Belle was sassy and funny but she was selfless and was always willing to lend a hand if someone needed it and she was able to.
I am sorry for the family to have to go through such a loss. I am sorry especially for her brother Ethan, she talked a lot about you and loved you very much, you were a great brother to her. Roberts will not be same without you. Fly high Belle and I'll see you on the other side.
