Marie and family,
Rosemary and I absolutely thought the world of Lion Al! His zest for life and the way that he deeply cared for others was contagious! We loved listening to his stories and were thrilled that he was able to give his parachute presentation to our Lions! He was a man to be very proud of and please know that his memory will live on through all of us who knew him. What a great guy!

Our love goes out to all of you,

Lincoln Lions Rosemary and Kris

Aunt Marie, I'm sorry we couldn't go there to be with you and your immediate family during this difficult time. All of you continue to be in our prayers each day. We will all miss Uncle Albert very much, as he was always so upbeat and happy. He was an inspiration to each of us. He always demonstrated all that is good in life and showed those around him in a positive way that joy is present if we allow ourselves to accept it.
As a couple, you and Uncle Al were obviously very much in love with each other, and it gave me much pleasure to see the two of you as you interacted with each other. Anyone who had the opportunity to be in the company of the two of you could only hope to find the kind of joy, happiness, and enduring love that the two of you shared. We too will miss him very much.

Along with Bob Ehlers, Al welcomed me into the world of Adult Education at the California Department of Education in 1978. He came across as a Rough and Tumble sort of fella and most always was brutally frank, but was alway caring and ready to help a person or agency in need. I already miss him dearly, but he'll always be in my heart.God now has an Angel on the gridiron playing "Safety" in his Defensive Backfield against bad things and the dark side.
