MAURO, Alexander Joseph
Keane
In Sacramento, on March 3, 2010. Beloved son of Louis Mauro and Donna Keane-Mauro, loving brother of David and Stephanie Mauro, and cherished grandson of Gerry Keane and Rose Mauro. Nephew of John and Robin Mauro, Stephanie and Sam Buzbee, Nancy and Dick Swain, Dave and Darien Keane, Joyce Keane and Kevin Matheny, Carol and Dave Keane Stein, and JR and Lisa Keane, survived by over 20 cousins in California, Illinois, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Iowa, and South Dakota. Alex was 20 years old. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, March 10, at 5:30 p.m. at Presentation Catholic Church, 4123 Robertson Ave. in Sacramento. Private interment will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to San Juan Unified School District for Alex's Special Education Programs, Shriner's Hospital or to Presentation Parish. W.F. Gormley & Sons, Directors.

Hello...
I just learned of Alex's passing today when I saw that his sister won an essay contest written about her brother, Alex, and her grandfather. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. My name is Deb Pilorin and I worked at the After School Teen Program at Laurel Ruff where Alex would come by every now & then. I was the staff person that walked with a walker (and I talked about massaging Alex since I was also a Massage Therapist with my own practice). I just wanted to say that I'm sure he is truly missed by everyone who came in contact with him. I know because when I left Teen Program,. I missed his infectious laugh. I loved it when I would talk in his ear and he'd smile sometimes. I hated it when he would cry and I didn't know how to help him. But I'm very glad that I met him and your family. Louis and Donna: My heart goes out to you and your family. I hope you can find peace in that Alex was loved and cared for by such a wonderful family. Now your little angel is up above looking down and taking care of you both, David, Stephanie and all of the others who loved him so much.
