Dear Chew family,
I was saddened to hear of Al´s passing. He held down the fort to keep Gung Ho Post 696, a Chinese American Legion post from closing until reinforcement arrived. Today, Gung Ho Post is thriving and also represent Chinese who served in America´s armed forces. Also, Gung Ho is active in the community charity. The post participate in Sacramento´s 4th of July parade, support the community, and visit veterans at Martinez. God bless the veterans.
Al was also an avid Kings fan. He has taken my brother Ed, me, and many others to the basketball games. Thank you for your generosity and kindness.
All the best and my heartfelt condolences,
Freeman Lee
