Bob Siravo Obituary

Bob Siravo, loving husband, father and grandfather, died unexpectedly in his sleep on July 6, 2016 at the age of 73. Born in Providence, Rhode Island into a military family, Bob grew up living in states across the country including Alaska, Maine and Wyoming. After graduating from Miami University in Ohio, Bob joined the U.S. Air Force as an officer and soon became a C-130 navigator, serving three tours in Vietnam. Bob's many accomplishments in the military include being promoted to Colonel two years before his peer group. He retired at Mather AFB as a squadron commander. He then began a second career in the credit union industry and eventually served as CEO of Travis Federal Credit Union in Vacaville and CEO of Wescorp in Glendora, California. Bob enjoyed a lifelong love of golf and played some of the world's greatest courses including St. Andrews in Scotland. During one of his most exciting golf games, he had two hole-in-ones in the same round at Spanish Bay GC on New Year's Eve in 2000. His son Bobby was there to witness it, which made it even more special. Bob is survived by his wife Trish, whom he met in Bermuda when they were teenagers and their Dads were both stationed there. They re-met 10 years later in Columbus, Ohio and were married. Bob is also survived by his sister Patty (Gary) his son, Bobby (Brenda), daughter Susan (Lee) grandchildren Ben, Brady, Brody and Sophie. Bob was a wonderful husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A celebration of life will be held in his honor at Del Paso Country Club on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. 3333 Marconi Ave., Sac. Ca 95821. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to First Tee of Greater Sacramento Junior Golf Tour.

RIP Bob.
We were close friends in high school in Ohio, roommates and fraternity brothers at Miami University. Distance, time and circumstances separated us but I never really lost touch. My mother was a close friend to both Bob's mother-in-law and to his wife and through that relationship I was able to follow the fascinating journey that was his life.
It is good to know he had many friends and loved ones, some of the names of whom I recognize here. My condolences to Trish and the rest of Bob's family. I truly feel the loss.

Bob, I knew you missed Rodney Johnson but did you have to join him in heaven so soon? Who will now brighten our day with humor, wit and intelligence? Where will we go when we need a smile to lift our spirits? You better not pull any tricks on us because we will be up there soon enough.

Bob always had that great smile that will be missed by many. His friendship will be missed. Here is to that hole-in-one up there in the sky....you've got the best witness to validate it...the Lord. May you rest in peace. Thoughts and prayers to Trish, Bobby, Susan, and the grandchildren. Esther

I first met Bob in 1994 when we both attended a credit union Executive Development course at Stanford. Through the credit union industry, I had the opportunity and fortune to know, talk to and learn from Bob. He was warm, funny, smart and supportive. I recall how important his family was to him, followed closely by his love for his dogs and golf. I know he will be missed by his family and all who loved him. I'll always remember Bob's words of wisdom and wonderful sense of humor. My condolences to Trish and family for your loss.

Bob my friend and classmate at Fairborn H.S.
We were little juvenile leaders usually getting caught doing innocent pranks.
We could never plan our escape after our pranks.
I blamed you and you me. We had so much fun and as we grew older loved to play golf.
You always kicked my butt.
I will miss you and that great laugh.
We had a great class with Peter leading us. God bless you Bob. You will be missed.
