Casey Marsullo Obituary

Casey Steven Marsullo, a bassist with the band A.D.D. (Another Damn Disappointment), business owner and soon to be father died in a tragic car accident on July 17, 2016. He was 35 years old and is survived by his wife, Kasey Marsullo; their unborn child due in January; his parents Steve and Joanne Marsullo and his younger sister Katie Marsullo. He graduated from Folsom High School in 1997 and his passion for music led to the formation of the punk rock band A.D.D. They held their first concert on Casey's 18th birthday in his parents garage. From that first show they evolved into a main stream punk band who toured the United States with Vans Warped Tour and even played in Canada. On September 21, 2013 he married Kasey Setters who shared his passion for music and good food. They fell in love sharing a zest for life and attending concerts, especially seeing Primus at every opportunity and his idol Les Claypool. Casey enjoyed weekend trips with his wife Kasey and many holiday adventures with his entire family. He enjoyed a cold Guinness with his band mates and his friends who all considered him their best friend. He worked in the family vending and food service business GVR Services since he was 18 and even before that. Along with his Pops he had a passion for American Muscle cars and attended many events and custom car shows. He grew close to his sister Katie with their hobby for video games that led her into the gaming industry. He enjoyed the hot summers by the pool with his Mom talking about him becoming a father and her a proud grandmother. He could fix or repair anything mechanical and always had a positive attitude while doing it. He was never afraid to tell anyone he loved them and how important it was to enjoy life. He lived life to the fullest, was generous to others and loved to help people whenever he could. He had tremendous love for his family and would have enjoyed spending time giving his new child the love and affection he gave to everyone else around him. A Celebration of his Life is scheduled for Friday August 5th 11:00 a.m. at the Folsom Community Center at 52 Natoma Street. Anyone is welcomed to pay respects to Casey and his family.

I've known mom Joanne for many years since we met at the Teale Data Center in 1996. Our daughters played together and I've seen Katie and Casey grow from children to adults. Steve and Joanna created a wonderful family who all loved and respected each other and were friends as well as family. Casey will be sorely missed and I grieve for Steve, Joanne and Katie who have been dealt such a tragic blow. My only comfort comes from knowing that Casey is in a better place and I hope this comforts his family and they can find some solace in that fact and in the joy of knowing Casey has a child on the way.
