Colleene Grady Miller

1955 - 2026

Colleene Ann Grady Miller passed away surrounded by loved ones February 19, 2026. She was a guiding light to all who knew her. Born March 14, 1955 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Colleene moved to Rancho Cordova, CA at 8 years old; graduated from Cordova High School (class of '73). She was a hard-working single-mother who worked tirelessly to provide. She worked at the Department of Human Assistance for 30+ years, dedicating her life to social work and bettering her community. She led with compassion, humility and kindness. She always believed in the good in people and giving a hand-up not a handout. Being from Louisiana, she was an avid Saints fan, and she and her husband shared a love of travel, often journeying across the U.S. to enjoy concerts, plays, football games and baseball games.

Colleene is survived by siblings Bill Grady, Pat Carr, Michael Grady, and Bonnie Davies; children, Lou and Veronica; husband, Robert Miller; and many loved ones and friends. Colleene is proceeded in death by her mother, Callie Grady; siblings, Larry Grady and Kathy Grady Doberneck.

A celebration of life honoring Colleene will take place on March 14, 2026, at 2:00pm at Carmichael Park Veteran's Hall, 5750 Grant Ave. Carmichael, CA 95608. All are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital on her behalf.
