I'm sadden to hear that my old friend Dave Richardson from the State Of California had passed away this year. I worked at DGS-RESD while he worked at CHP & DHS so we worked together on many Leased & State-owned building projects. We met in the late 1980s and stayed friends for years. We collected sports memorabilia & hot wheels. Dave was always a great guy to be around. I will miss him dearly.

Dave was a one-of-a-kind guy!

Worked with Dave for many years starting with PIA in 1984 then Cal Highway Patrol and DHS. We leap- frogged careers and thoroughly enjoyed working together. It had been several years since we had talked. Life took us on different paths but never out of my mind. I often thought of him and about reconnecting. I am very sadden to just find out that he had passed. Dave had a unique sense of humor that I greatly appreciated, a love of baseball, and was an amazing collector. We were often co-pranksters in the work place and miss those years.
Condolences to his family and friends for his loss and deep regrets that we had not reconnected. Was hoping to take off and going fishing with him someday.

We have lost a very good man that will be truly missed. Rico

Dave and I became friends when we worked at PIA in 1984. These last few days all I have been saying is "Oh Dave". I just can't believe you are gone. I am sorry you won't get to see the Indians win the world series. You always said that you would go before me. I am sorry you were right. Good bye buddy.

Thank you David for being my mentor at PIA for several years, beginning in November of 1984. We served our country and loved baseball. You taught me, with your easy-going personality, to not worry and be happy.

Your picture is in the dictionary, under the phrase, you're the man!!!

Missed and never forgotten.

Thank you David for mentoring me on my job at PIA. We both did the military and had a love for baseball. God placed you here to relax people, and say don't worry, be happy
You did it!,

You're the man!

me.
I can only end by saying you're the man!

I'll think of you often, even as I did
