Jim, what a good friend for a lot of years!! We had some fun times together, along with Edith/Alice; Mexico, various travels,California wine country, etc. He was a dear friend and we shall miss him.
We love you "E/A".

I don't know how to feel about the loss of James Brewer, my grandfather. We have had hard feelings and conflict between us throughout the years resulting in abscence, bitterness, and sometimes even anger. Now that he is gone I find it very difficult to justify my part in our disagreements and my reasoning for not being more forgiving towards him. When I look back on the years and think of our relationship as a whole, I see only the fun things that we did and all of the good memories which seem to gently push aside all of the bad, like the wind blowing away dead leaves on an early spring morning. The relationship between the two of us was full of positive and wonderful experiences and no matter what I have felt, that fact has been there as clear as crystal the whole time. I am ashamed to have wasted that time, but I am glad that he was able to make me look without the clouds of my own petty differences or personal judgement. For this and our time together, I will always be grateful. My deepest sympathies go to all of you who know him as I did - as my Grandpa Jim.
I will drink a "pink drink" tonight and smile like you made for a hundred times.
I Love You.
Your Grandson,
Jason C. Asbury
