I am grateful for the chance to care for my mother during the last 7 years of her life. Despite the difficulties of caregiving, I learned that love transcends all our physical trappings and fears. I can be thankful to my mother for demonstrating her love. She will not be forgotten, as I emulate that love in my daily life.

Though I didn't know Aunt Jean, her sister, Margaret McClaren Conrad, is my wonderful grandmother. I wish I had taken the opportunity to get to know Aunt Jean. I know she will be missed by all those who know and love her.
