Jim Matsui Obituary

Passed away peacefully on Dec. 16, 2012 at age 86. Jim is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carole Teruko (Hironaka), daughters Tracy and Wendy (Brad) Boemecke, son Roger, grandson William McLaughlin, Jr., and numerous nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Kichigaro and Tsuru; brothers Yukio, Yasuji, & Noboru; and sisters Miyoko Takehara & Nancy Sanjo. Jim retired after 40 years with the Dept. of Justice. He enjoyed years of farming, sharing his delicious home-grown vegetables, bowling, horse racing, playing poker, and ping-pong. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. A memorial service will be held on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the Florin Buddhist Church, 7235 Pritchard Rd, Sacramento.
